Austique’s 6th Birthday Fashion Show at Beaufort House

The great and good of Chelsea turned out last Wednesday evening to raise money for Too Many Women Breast Cancer Charity and to view Austique’s Spring Summer collection and Autumn Winter preview. 

The party began at Beaufort House Private members club where we guzzled Smatz cocktails and woolfed down Love Bakery’s beautiful cupcakes whilst watching current season Austique and Autumn/Winter preview fashion flash past on our custom-made purple catwalk.  Then we were whisked across the road for a night of careless abandon at Raffles night club. Magic must have been in the air as one party-goer managed to conjour a tray of shots out of thin air for an astounded audience!!!!

Thank you everyone for joining us on the evening. It was such a pleasure to see you all there, especially in all of your Austique dresses! The hit of the evening, our autumn winter collection, will be arriving in store in late August, so there are only a few more months to wait…

Celeb Spot: Love Quotes Scarves

It seems that our celebrity friends on the other side of the Atlantic simply can’t get enough of our newest obsession: Love Quotes Scarves.

Made from a heavenly linen blend, they come in a veritable rainbow of colours and are just about the easiest way to add some dash to your summer basics. Jeans and a t-shirt never looked so simply sophisticated!

Not only are they totally heavenly to look at, but 10% of all profits are donated to childrens charities around the world. So it’s no wonder that celebrities such as Sienna, SJP, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Lauren Conrad have all jumped on the ‘Love Quotes’ bandwagon.

The never ending pony ball…

It seems ironic that the weekend I decide to cut off all my hair (literally; the man keeps being teased about his new boyfriend…) is the weekend that the never ending pony ball arrives in store. This is just about my favourite thing in the world, ever.  So I had to be all philanthropic and buy one for my sister instead. Hmpf!

Hat Attack’s never ending pony ball (slight trade description issue here, if we’re being honest!) is the answer to all my pre-haircut  hair woes. It’s a handy, handbag-sized ball of elastic which dispenses, you guessed it, hair ties. Never again will you be stuck in the rain without an elastic to tame your bouffing barnet. It’s not exactly rocket science, but something about those brightly coloured elastics just gets us girlies all excited.

So, next time you’re stumped for a present idea, try a pony ball. I defy anyone not to smile on receiving such a brightly coloured ball of fun!
