Austiquegirl can exclusively reveal that British supermodel Erin O’Connor has been chosen as the Official Face of the June 2011 Epsom Derby Festival. The willowy brunette, who has graced the catwalks of top international designers around the world and has enjoyed success as a model for nearly two decades, is known for her effortless style and timeless french chic.
With such a glamorous start to the British racing calendar, Austique are anticipating a sparkling season to come. From Epsom, to Ascot and Goodwood, we will be flying the Austique flag in our summer collection which has been designed with the landmark events of the summer social whirlwind in mind.
Straight from the drawing board, here’s a small teaser of our favourite race-ready dresses. Each piece will come in eye-popping block silks as well as our three signature SS11 prints: Roses, Beetles and Stars.
The classic Breton Stripe is a fail-safe wardrobe must-have. Originating from traditional sailor’s attire, in Brittany, France, this powerful stripe has exerted a strong influence on the collections of Coco Chanel and now, almost a century on, this chic nautical banding is still ruling the SS11 catwalks (from Prada and Jill Sander, to Balmain and Marc Jacobs).
Here’s a selection of Austique’s Bretton Stripe Tees, Knits and Dresses guaranteed to get your wardrobe in line.
Eye popping colours and electric neon’s decorated the runways this season. Muccia Prada worked from a palette of primary colours, where as Jill Sanders and Christopher Kane opted for block fluorescent brights.
Austique’s new S S collection leans strongly towards this new riot of colours that have exploded over the catwalks. Boldly clash together or rock as one off statement pieces, we promise you will be making a serious colour splash this summer.
We love to see celebrities out and about in our favourite new labels, so we were totally over-excited to find this picture of Hilary Duff wearing our trusted, old-favourite accessories label Love Quotes Scarves along with our exciting brand new jewellery brand, Isharya:
We can’t get enough of Isharya’s Indian influenced jewellery designs and are beside ourselves with excitement about the delivery which is due this week. Watch this space for more news on the collection.
