Serfontaine

Husband and Wife team Mik and Maria Serfontaine launched premium denim brand Serfontaine in 2000 off the back of Mik's boutique in Venice, California. Mik and Maria had been drawn to LA by the music scene of the late 1980s, the influences of which can still be traced in the couple's designs.

The brand has enjoyed a meteoric rise to popularity (the first production run sold out in one week) with a cult celebrity following from the very early days, including Beyonce, J.Lo and Britney.

Mik has become a denim devotee, dedicated to finding the perfect pair of jeans. So protective is he of his innovative, award winning jeans that he has patents on his stitching fabric washes and designs. The labels' trademark rope stitch enhances the timeless silhouette of a great pair of jeans and adds a distinctiveness that must surely be the holy grail of all designers- an identity without a label
