Winter Kate

So with the sunshine out today it really is starting to feel as though Spring may not be that far away. In perfect timing with this,  Nicole Richie’s label Winter Kate has started to arrive and includes some great transition pieces to take you from season to season

Her collection is laden with breezy, floral printed maxis, lace camis and kimonos’ made with luxurious vintage fabrics, which have a hippie deluxe meets LA cool vibe that reflects Nicole’s bohemian style and her inner Californian spirit.

Richie talks of the inspiration behind her Spring 11 collaborations, “It was really inspired by my mother actually, there is a certain way in which she used to dress, she’s from the south, and wore a lot of very feminine prints.”

Here the gorgeous Nicole Richie talks us through her stunning Spring 11 Winter Kate Collection.

Jodie Foster in ‘Taxi Driver’

wedge and blouse

The fashionistas amongst you will already know that some key 70′s trends are storming back onto the scene. From Marc Jacobs to Salvatore Ferragamo, from Sonia Rykiel to Anna Sui, the SS11 catwalks were full of references to this fun loving decade. Think Jodie Foster in ‘Taxi Driver’, baby blue denim, wooden-wedges and floppy-brimmed hats. Austique recommends the newly arrived 12th Street by Cynthia Vincent ‘Jemma Wedges’ to be your staple item to build the trend around. These dual-tone, wooden platform shoes will work effortlessly with the Winter Kate Tilapia Blouse, Goldsign Silvie Bora jeans and a Hat Attack Ribbon Fedora.

isharya

Isharya has just landed on site and we have to say the collection is simply stunning. San Francisco based sisters-in-law Radhika and Guari Tandon’s jewellery label, Isharya, is inspired by the elegant jewels of the Indian Royal flower families and 20th Century art nouveau, truly capturing the perfect fuse of contemporary cool with exotic influences from the Bollywood genre. Counting the likes of Drew Barrymore and Eva Longoria as fans, their bold chandelier earrings and metallic-gold necklaces will guarantee eye-catching vacation style.
